The only way to pull off a Sunday afternoon "quickie" with their 8-year old son in
the apartment was to send him out on the balcony with a Popsicle and tell him to report on all the neighborhood activities.

He began his commentary as his parents put their plan into operation:

"There's a car being towed from the parking
lot," he shouted.

"An ambulance just drove by!"

"Looks like the Andersons have company," he
called out.

"Matt's riding a new bike!"

"Looks like the Sanders are moving!"

"Jason is on his skate board...."

After a few moments he announced, "The Coopers are having sex!!"

Startled, his mother and dad shot up in bed! Dad cautiously called out, "How do you know they are having sex?"

"Jimmy Cooper is standing on his balcony with a Popsicle."

Replacement Windows

Last year I replaced all the windows in my house with that expensive double-pane energy efficient kind, and today, I got a call from the contractor who installed them. He was complaining that the work had been completed a whole year ago and I still hadn't paid for them.

Helllooooo? Just because I'm blonde doesn't mean that I am automatically stupid. So, I told him just what his fast talking sales guy had told me last year, that in ONE YEAR these windows would pay for themselves!

Helllooooo? It's been a year, I told him.

There was only silence at the other end of the line, so I finally just hung up. He never called back. Guess I won that stupid argument.

I bet he felt like an idiot.

In a post one day last week I read how Brett had some hurting hands from making lots and lots of salsa during the day. The ingredients he meantioned sounded right on to me, a self proclaimed hot sauce/salsa connoisseur so I had to try some.

I purchased what he had listed as the second hottest salsa available, and in no time I was contacted regarding the order letting me the status, being a food product he did not ship over the weekend, which makes sense and is fine with me.

The salsa arrived a day after being shipped, a nice jar and its own lable stating the date the salsa came into existance. (see blurry photo) The real test was soon in coming.

First off the salsa had a nice kick, not too much but enough to leave me looking forward to the hottest brand he makes, another good side effect is the fact that my wife does not care to much for spicey salsas and after one bite was fine to leave it all to me.

Along with the spicey, came a good taste, well rounded that fit really well with the chips. It beats anything I have bought at the store and I highly recommend trying it out. If you are not in to spicey salsas he makes a full range from mild to hottest, which is next on my list!

The site where you can order this and many other goodies is located http://www.fauver.net/

Well this will be short and to the point. I went to the Oaks, Pa. Premier of Snakes on a Plane tonight, they only had one show at 10pm. There were people dressed up as airline flight crew, some had snakes around them, one guy even had a cardboard cut out of a plane with snakes on it strapped to him. It was all pretty funny, and fun. I myself had two large rubber snakes around my neck...I wish I had taken my camera.

The whole night was fun, before the movie started there was a preview of another movie that Samuel L. Jackson is staring in and the place erupted in cheers. That set the tone for the whole night, when you first saw Sam the place went nuts when the snakes first got released, the place went nuts. When they attacked the first people, the place went nuts. It was more of a fun time then you should have when hordes of people are dieing by snakes.

I thought the movie overall was good, the atmosphere made it better, you could tell the place was filled with people who followed this movie for a long time. Many references to some of the only comics could be heard...also the place was loudest once Samuel L Jackson finally said the line that was added just because of the internet fan fair around the move.. "thats it I am tired of these mother fucking snakes on this mother fucking plane." That line was not in the original script but because of the cult following this movie garnered on the web, most of it associating Sam's character from Pulp Fiction with the one in the movie lead to that line being added.

So overall I give this movie, on premier night 5 stars. Under normal, non-excited crowd movie conditions then the movie is a 4. Go see it.

WOW!

Well put simply that is alot for me to say about a game. Guild Wars is the game that has killed MMOGs to me forever. The graphics in the game are absolutely beautiful. The game play is extremely smooth, and it is a mix between MMOG and single player adventure game.

In the cities and forts in this game you find your self in a district, every district is exactly the same other then the players in there. If one district becomes too full of people, another is created and lag is kept from your screen. You can find other players from around the world to game with in these zones, or if you do not have the time for long adventuring grab a few NPC hencmen that come in a variety of classes and head on out.

The game is loaded with quests, which all provide good experience and all tell a story of sorts. Certain areas also have missions, which takes longer then a quest to complete but gives more experience and skill points in which to purchase new skills for your toon.

Speaking of toons, done away with is the grind after grind in order to get a character up to high level. The game is designed so even casual gamers can be lvl 20 (max level right now) in a couple of weeks. Need new armor? No problem, you do not need to grind away making crap items just to get your skill high enough. Just collect the materials needed to make the armor and give it to an Armor NPC and he creates it for you, instantly.

For your toon there you can have dual classes, such as a Warrior/Monk class, the ability to fight as a warrior, and have some healing power as a monk. Or my such as my main toon, a Necromancer/Ranger, where I have un-dead skills among which will allow me to raise minions from dead enemies around me to fight at my bidding. As a ranger I have a charm animal skill that I used to charm a bear to be my pet, and now this very mean bear is at my beck and call attacking anything I want it to!

Guild Wars is not all about player versus environment though, there is also arena PvP in the game. From lower level toons, to upper level costs in game gold to fight team arenas where you fight teams from across the globe. I do not say that literally, the planet for Guild Wars sake is split in to 3 regions, America, Korea and Europe. In the highest level arena a team from one of those regions wins a battle, it goes towards a tally count for that region, once you have one 4 times, you have the favor of the Gods for your region which leads to some in game advancements to be taken advantage of.

PvP is not mandatory but it is fun to throw your hat in to once in a while!

So basically if you are a gamer, and enjoy adventure games this is the game for you. The final selling point is this, this whole game, once purchased is played online for FREE. No montly charge like other MMOG's, now you cant beat that.

So if you are in game add Falen Blazestone to your friends list and give me a shout.

This movie is centered around small town Odessa Texas, 1988; specificlly the high school football team. For the most part this movie is decent, however it would not have bothered me to have waited to see it on video. The acting was up to par, especially for Billy Bob Thorton but it was nothing extrodenary.

The film does a good job drawing you in emotionally to the football team and a few key players, however this is sometimes drowned out by some rough and bouncing camera work. The bouncing camera was obviously part of the script but I felt they could have done with out it.

The movies ends with a nice edge of your seat action, and really makes you feel better after all the other drama that was just see. Being a tad over 2 hours it does seem to get a bit stale at times, fortunately not for long.
Overall I give this movie a 4, which for me is really high marks since 5s are set for only the extremely good "Guy" flicks. If you are really in to football, then you will really enjoy this movie, however waiting for video would not be so bad either.

Ok look here, I am not a professional movie reviewer. Besides that half of the time they say a movie stinks when I like it or vice versa. So the gest is, I am going to give you the laymens review of any movie I see.

Featuring John Travolta and Joaquin Phoenix this movie turns out to be a great date movie, bring your Girlfriend or Boyfriend and joy a nice emotional moment afterwards. Both actors do a great job, and it comes as a good story showing the life of firefighters, they are regular people after all.

As for a straight guy movie, not quite, it is very drawn up, plenty of slow times and not enough action to boot. The very things that make this a decent "date" flick is what takes it away from a nice seat of the pants action movie, it is not backdraft!

Once again I would give this 3 1/2 stars but for now we have to settle with the options so 3 it is.

Every once in a while a game comes out that just blows you away. A game you just want everyone to play. A game that well sometimes you just have to take a pause from because it has become so intense.

Welcome to Doom 3, with a revolutionary graphics engine utilizing light shading technology never before used; tossed in with sound effects that would do Stephen Spielberg proud you get one hell of a game. To say this game will scare you silly is an understatement. Doom 3 gives you the feeling of being the title role of a horror/action film more then a player in front of a computer.

Many times I found myself jumping slightly in the seat. Many other times it would be pitch black and I have to lower my weapon in order to use a flashligh...and become unnerved for that fact. The story is very indepth with plenty of ingame puzzels you can choose to do which will award you with nice "keep me alive" items.

This game is a MUST for any PC gamer, be warned it does take a good system to run this smoothly. If your system can not handle it you are missing out, upgrade right now!

Tom Cruise takes on a completely style of role in this one by playing the bad guy. Not just a bad guy, but one with ice water running through his viens and he litterally kills just about everyone he has contact with. On the other end you have Jamie Foxx, and let me tell you he did a fantastic job to my surprise.

Overall this movie was fun to watch, had some good action but unfortunately slow points filled this movie too much in-between the action. I do not regret seeing it in the theater however knowing what I know now I would have been just as happy waiting for the video. I would rather give this a 3 1/2 star rating but since we do not have that option 3 stars it is. It is a movie worth seeing.

Please Please Please do yourself a favor and do not waste your time or money on this movie. The beginning gives you some nice gratuitous nudity with a couple of very good looking women, but this lasts only a few seconds. The rest of the movie features very poor make up and costumes, no special effects and very stupid dialog followed by cut in from the video game put in the movie.

If I could give this no stars I would but for now take it that 1 Star is way too generous for this movie.
